The sister asked me probing questions like if I still believe in Jesus as the redemer and if I still believe that Armageddon is coming soon. I said, "Of course!" I think that if I answered no that she would feel it was her duty to tell the elders.

i quit going two years ago and when sisters came to my door one time and asked why, i told them that the elders are no different from the pharisees and that i don't want anymore to do with it.
no elders have ever visited me concerning this or any other matter.

something smells bad about this!!.
i find it puzzling.. child sacrifice to appease wrathful deities is a disgusting solution to crop failure.

The Bible writers seem to have taken the ugly parts of bad pagan worship and rewritten them to make them sanitized Christian beliefs. The Jesus character has been rewritten many times even before Jesus was born. They went from earth focused to heaven focused and stole (I like this term) pagan beliefs and rewrote them for themselves to lord it over others. They took the beautiful metaphores and symbolisms for the many facets of the power of nature and created for themselves a horrible genocidal, bipolar god.
An it harm none, do what ye will. The god of the Bible seems to have ignored this very important piece of pagan wisdom.

No elders have ever visited me concerning this or any other matter. Do they make announcements to the congregation without letting the person know about it? I'm wondering if any announcement was made by them about me behind my back. No one that I've run into has treated me strangly or shunned me, but I wonder anyway.

Am I allowed to see a friend get baptised following a year of my fading?
by mtsgrad intoday my wife told me a teenage friend of mine is getting baptised this weekend and she wants me to come.
would it be hypocritical as a fader to attend?.

I wonder how effective it would be to try to talk him out of it since being baptized opens up the org for them (males only) to be able to do everything without restrictions. The blinders are so strong just before, during, and just after a baptism. I remember how fanatical I was at mine. Maybe that was just me, but it could be true for others, as well.

I remember this subject in another thread. Follow what others said on the other thread, too. It is more of the same thing you have been told before. The elders won't listen to either of you for two reasons: 1. You and your Xdaughter-in-law are not JW's. 2. Both of you are female. It is a Taliban police state in all of the congregations. Male interests always trump female interests no matter how serious. This is from personal experience.
Actually, a few letters from you two would be a good idea so you can tell the authorities that the elders knew of it and didn't report it. Also, it would be a good thing for Silent Lambs and their cause just to add to the proof that JW elders don't care about people or the law and are 100% self-serving (ok, some are ok but stronger willed ones tie their hands).
